Initially, he followed in their footsteps by attending civil engineering school at the Federal University of Parana. However, he eventually found out that he was more interested in emerging Information Technologies. Therefore, he decided to see his parents as an inspiration to create something from nothing.
Haroldo’s curiosity about transformative innovations led him to read widely about the future of technology. He came to recognize that while luck plays an important factor, well-developed talent and handwork are essential. Therefore, without wasting time, Haroldo Jacobovicz dove into IT, convincing his three friends to form a company.
Just before they graduated, he and his friends founded a company called Microsystem. They came up with a solution designed to help businesses automate their inventory and cash register. Although this solution would become widely used in today’s world, at the time, it fell on deaf ears with no one ready to fully adjust to the future of automation.
Although the company closed down a year later, this did not dim his vision. Haroldo Jacobovicz went on to be the founder of Telecom and Horizons Datacenter as well as e-Govern Group. The objective of these companies was to bring together the best strategic resource and human talent to help solve IT problems.
Over the years, these companies have become impactful in the private and public sectors. They have been instrumental in transforming markets all over Brazil, with Horizons boasting of a 100 % fibre network. With Multi-point redundancy and superior equipment, the company has grown to become the most respected telecommunication supplier in Brazil.
The immense success of Horizons led to the launch of the Horizons Datacenter in 2020. This company is an extension that will bring about connectivity, cloud capabilities and move. With all this going on, Haroldo Jacobovicz maintains his belief that commitment to service essentially drives success.
